Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has unveiled its Gift the Cheer of the Season catalogue, offering consumers a selection of premium and reserve brands at distributor prices as they prepare for the festive season.
The catalogue is designed to simplify holiday shopping through curated gift options, phone ordering, delivery services and access to UBL’s authorised distributor network.
It was launched on Tuesday evening, October 27, at an event held at House of Walker in Wandegeya, presided over by UBL Managing Director Felicité Nson.
The catalogue features a range of brands, including Johnnie Walker, The Singleton, Baileys, Don Julio and Tanqueray, alongside vodka, rum, sherry and beer options. The selection caters to consumers looking for gifts for family members, friends, colleagues and other special people during the holiday season.
The launch also formed part of UBL’s ongoing 80 Days of Customer Appreciation campaign, through which the company recognises customers and business partners for their continued support.
During the event, UBL honoured CK Distributors Managing Director Christopher Kafure for his longstanding partnership and contribution to the company’s growth.
Speaking at the launch, Nson said the catalogue would make it easier for consumers to find suitable gifts at favourable prices.
“This is the season to give. We all have special people who have made our year much lighter and better. This catalogue will help us select the perfect gifts at favourable prices,” she said.
The event also highlighted the role of gifting in expressing gratitude and strengthening personal relationships. Guests shared what they appreciated most about the year and how they planned to recognise the people who had supported them.
Shiba Kamara, one of the attendees, said she intended to gift her mother a bottle of Baileys in appreciation of her support throughout the year.
“My mother has been my light throughout this year. She has been my biggest source of support and motivation, and I am planning to gift her a bottle of Baileys to show her my appreciation,” she said.
UBL National Advocacy Manager Melanie Kaita said the catalogue would help consumers explore the available brands and arrange deliveries to friends and family.
Kaita also guided guests through a whisky-pairing session, demonstrating how reserve whiskies could be enjoyed alongside selected foods. Using Johnnie Walker Gold Label and The Singleton single malt Scotch whisky, she showcased pairings with white chocolate and dehydrated apple slices.
Guests also participated in a cocktail-making session led by professional mixologists, who demonstrated recipes that could be recreated at home during the festive season.
Mixologist Preston Abel said the overall cocktail experience depends on more than the drink itself, noting the importance of glassware, ice and garnishes. He added that locally sourced ingredients and dried fruits such as apples, oranges, lemons and strawberries could introduce different flavours.
The catalogue is available through UBL’s authorised distributors. Customers can also call the company’s hotline on 0770581534 to explore the available options.
The offering includes free delivery, bottle engraving, special pricing and gift packaging, providing consumers with additional ways to personalise their festive gifts.
