RIP Dr. Kiyingi Aggrey

Australia was home to Dr. Kiyingi Aggrey, a consultant cardiologist.

Azalia Ssebowa, a peasant in Busukuma, Namulonge, in the Wakiso area, was the Farther of Kiyingi.

The father was a devoted member of the Uganda People’s Congress who was shot and killed in the middle of the 1980s.

His mom passed away too. They came from a quite large family.

In 1977, Dr. Kiyingi received his bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from Makerere University in Uganda.

He has since travelled, worked, and studied all around the world.

He was fluent in English, Swahili, and Luganda.

He finished his training in specialized cardiology at Westmead and Concord Hospitals in Sydney, Australia.

Since 1989, he has worked as a consultant cardiologist.

In addition, he had a great deal of expertise practising tropical medicine as a consulting physician.

His clinical interests include hypertension, general medicine, echocardiography, preventative cardiology, and adult general cardiology. He is a specialist in these areas.

His areas of interest were tropical cardiology, ischemic heart disease, cardiomyopathies, hypertension, and cardiac failure.

He took an active part in GPs’ and heart health professionals’ ongoing professional development.

Dr Aggrey Kiyingi liked music and was a member of the Nightingales, an excellent singing group that used to perform nationally and internationally. He was a member of the Budo family, where he remained from Junior up to A Level in the mid-60s until 1971.

While at Buddo, he was in the Nigerian house. According to his close friends, he was a quiet, kind, and extremely clever man.

His old classmates remember him as a bright young man. He was a serious guy who never made jokes at school.

In addition, he was a devout man before turning mulokole.

In Kampala, Kiyingi first gained notoriety as a philanthropist in 2001 when he began giving millions of dollars to regional NGOs and churches.

He used to donate Shs. 20 million to the Katuso Church of Uganda, a neighborhood church where he regularly prays while in Kampala.

He had a designated place allocated for him inside the church, which is close to his Buziga home.

He gave the church a piano as a gift. Kiyingi was also well-liked by the Anglican Church’s seat in Namirembe, the kingdom of Buganda, and its clergy.

Matrimonial Life And Murder Allegations

Robinah Kiyingi, Dr. Kiyingi’s lawyer wife, was shot and killed in Buziga, but the court freed her. Dr. Kiyingi was previously accused of killing her.

From then on, the State has appealed the trial.

Dr. Kiyingi claims that he was set up for his wife’s murder and that she was slain for political reasons.

They silenced her by getting rid of her. They eliminate a threat by getting rid of me,” he remarked.

Following the completion of his A Level in 1971, Kiyingi enrolled at Makerere University, where he became close to Robinah and eventually married her.

But Kiyingi and Robinah were already acquainted before he enrolled at Makerere, where he studied for a five-year Bachelor of Medicine.

They are thought to have crossed paths on one of Budo’s exchange visits with Gayaza High School, Robinah’s place of education.

Despite Kiyingi’s affiliation with the Mulago Medical School and Robinah’s with the Faculty of Law, he could not conceal his envy towards those who would be friends with her lover.

After the family fled Uganda in 1980, they briefly resided in Kenya, where Dr. Kiyingi worked part-time at Kalolemi in Mombasa and afterwards at a small hospital in Kitui, Machakos.

The family resided at the residence of Dr. Eve Kasirye Alemu, Robinah’s sister, who was then a resident of Nairobi.

He pledged in May 2002 to establish a sh10b fund to raise the nation’s computer literacy.

He established Dehezi International, a computer and Internet service provider with headquarters in Kampala, with his wife Robinah. The company has assisted in the sale of computers to educational institutions and other organizations at subsidized prices.

The 2002 launch of the CBS FM radio website, which evolved into an interactive platform allowing users to stream the station over the Internet, was developed by Dehezi International.

The spouse of Robinah and Kiyingi, who are both balokole, filed for divorce at the Mengo Chief Magistrate’s Court in 2003, causing their marriage to collapse.

He charged the spouse of infidelity. However, other individuals claimed that because the man was seeing other women, he was to blame for the breakdown of the marriage. The pair is parents to four kids.
