1 Mins read

Traffic Police Boss, Dr Stephen Stephen Kasiima has revealed that ahead of the festive season, police will resume their crackdown on drunk driving after they discovered that many people are driving under the influence of alcohol during the daytime.

“Truck drivers, Kamunye Drivers, Boda Boda riders, and other car drivers sleep in bars and drive the following day when they are still drunk and they cannot commandeer vehicles,” said Kasiima.

He also said that Bus drivers will be allowed to drive only one route per day.

“For this season, we are not going to allow them to make return routes. We are not because they are human beings and they get tired and most of these bus drivers drive long distances. They drive day and night, they sleep when they are driving.”
