Singer Joseph Mayanja commonly known as Jose Chameleone has echoed his move to become the Lord mayor of Kampala come 2021.
In an interview with Ug Mirror, Chamelone said he is ready to lead the people in Kampala to the promise land.
“I wish to remind you that 2021, I am coming and I urge you to make me the mayor of this city and I want to make everything right, so please we are still on the issue,” he said
Chameleone said opposition political parties need to get united if they are to achieve their goals.
“Tell Mr Lukwago that, he should hand over the keys to me. Some thought I was not serious, I am educated, I’m not in drama, I’m very serious,’’ he said.
He said there are many things which are not going well in Kampala and the solutions should be provided as soon as he enters the office.
He also talked about the coming concert which will be held to remember his late brother AK47 which is scheduled to take place in march.
Several Ugandan artists have of late joined politics in a bid to influence change in their society.
Some of them include gospel singer Judith Babirye, comedian Kato Lubwama and singer Daniel Kazibwe aka Ragga Dee and not forgetting the Ghetto President, Bobi Wine
