The only person who survived last evening’s Karuma Bridge accident where a lorry plunged into River Nile has spoken up.
Identified as Ocen Solomon from Amac, Lira district, he confirms that they were only two in the green lorry and he jumped out as they plunged into River Nile.
Ocen says that he tried to apply the brakes but all in vain and blames the accident to that mechanical fault.
Ocen is currently receiving treatment at Lacor hospital, Gulu.
Yesterday evening at around 8pm, a Lorry crashed the Karuma Bridge and disappeared in the flowing waters of River Nile.
It is confirmed that one person is missing suspected to be dead.
