MTN Uganda is set to bring together members of Uganda’s corporate community for the MTN Grand Tee of Tees ’26 Corporate Edition, a year-end sporting and networking experience designed to celebrate golfing excellence, encourage friendly competition and strengthen relationships across the business community.
The event will bring together three complementary properties within MTN’s golf calendar: the Pro-Tee Finale, running from 8 to 11 December; the Corporate Edition Challenge, scheduled for 24 October, 21 November and 12 December; and the Grand Tee of Tees on 12 December, which will conclude the MTN Monthly Tee season.
Each property will contribute a distinct element to the overall experience. The Pro-Tee Finale will bring the professional golf season to a close, with the tournament winner and season-long Order of Merit champion recognised. The Corporate Edition Challenge will create a platform for companies to compete and connect beyond the boardroom, while the Grand Tee of Tees will celebrate the wider golfing community by crowning the day’s category winners and the men’s and ladies’ Order of Merit champions.
Paul Luyima, Senior Manager, Business Development at MTN Uganda, said the Corporate Edition reflects the opportunity to bring business relationships and sporting competition together in a shared experience.
“The MTN Grand Tee of Tees brings together different elements of the golfing calendar to celebrate the season and the people who make it special. With the Corporate Edition, we are extending that experience to Uganda’s corporate community, creating an opportunity for companies to compete, interact and build relationships in a setting that goes beyond the usual business environment. It is about celebrating achievement while creating space for meaningful connections through sport,” Luyima said.
The Corporate Edition will feature 22 invited companies, with each organisation fielding a four-player golf team alongside individual representatives in six indoor games: darts, chess, pool, foosball, table tennis and Scrabble. This format broadens participation beyond established golfers, allowing colleagues with different interests and skills to contribute to their company’s performance.
The invited institutions span Uganda’s financial services, energy, aviation, public sector, mobility and professional services communities, reflecting the event’s emphasis on bringing together organisations from different sectors through a shared sporting experience.
The Corporate Edition Challenge will run across the three scheduled dates, culminating on 12 December alongside the Grand Tee of Tees. The competition will recognise the overall corporate challenge winner, with the golf component complemented by the six indoor disciplines. Further details on the competition format and standings will be communicated as the event approaches.
The season finale will provide an opportunity to recognise individual and team achievements while celebrating the relationships developed through the MTN golf community over the course of the year. Through the combined experience, MTN aims to create a fitting close to the season, bringing together professional golfers, club members and corporate participants around competition, camaraderie and shared achievement.
