Socialite Judith Heard has weighed in on the ongoing marriage fallout involving former Miss Uganda Stellah Nantumbwe, popularly known as Ellah, urging her to resist the temptation of taking private marital issues to the court of public opinion.

As speculation continues to swirl around the reported collapse of Stellah’s marriage to businessman Saidi Bukenya, Judith Heard, who has publicly spoken in the past about her own divorce experience, offered what many have described as motherly advice to the former beauty queen.

In a message shared on social media, Heard reflected on her own marriage and eventual separation, emphasizing the importance of handling such delicate matters with maturity and restraint.

“I was married for 12 years and I am proud of how we chose to cover the divorce from the public,” Heard wrote.

Her comments come at a time when allegations, counter-allegations and social media debates have dominated discussions surrounding the reported separation between Stellah and her husband.

The former Miss Uganda has recently found herself at the centre of intense public scrutiny following claims and counterclaims regarding the circumstances that led to the breakdown of the marriage, which was celebrated with much fanfare only months ago.

But according to Heard, the internet is the last place anyone should seek healing after a failed relationship.

“My advice to Ellah is simple: don’t air your dirty laundry on the internet,” she wrote.

The socialite reminded Stellah that regardless of how events may have unfolded, Saidi Bukenya remains the man she once publicly chose to spend her life with.

“No matter what has happened, remember that this is still the man you chose to marry, and that home, whether people approve of it or not, is the home you have been living in for the last few months,” Heard added.

Her remarks appeared to be a direct response to the growing public fascination with the marriage saga, which has generated endless commentary across social media platforms, entertainment blogs and gossip circles.

For weeks, internet users have dissected every detail of the relationship, with supporters of both parties advancing competing narratives about what may have caused the union to unravel.

However, Judith Heard believes that the public’s interest in the story should not be mistaken for genuine concern.

“The public cannot heal your marriage, and the public cannot heal your heartbreak,” she cautioned.

Her words carry weight given her own experience navigating divorce away from the spotlight despite being one of Uganda’s most recognizable social figures.

In an era where celebrities increasingly turn to social media to settle scores, release screenshots and expose former partners, Heard’s advice stands in sharp contrast to the prevailing culture of public confrontation.

Instead, she argued that preserving one’s dignity should take precedence over winning public sympathy.

“All they will do is consume the story and move on to the next one,” she observed.

The statement resonated with many social media users who noted that public controversies often generate temporary attention but rarely provide lasting solutions.

Indeed, Uganda’s entertainment industry is littered with examples of celebrity couples whose private disputes became public spectacles, only for the audience to eventually lose interest and move on to the next trending topic.

One day the internet is passionately debating a celebrity breakup; the next day it is busy discussing a concert, a political scandal or a viral video. The people directly involved, however, are left to deal with the emotional consequences long after the online audience has disappeared.

Judith Heard urged Stellah to focus instead on protecting her personal well-being and future.

“If the marriage has come to an end, handle it with wisdom, dignity and maturity. Protect your peace, protect your future and protect yourself,” she advised.

The comments have been interpreted by some observers as an appeal for de-escalation at a time when tensions surrounding the failed marriage appear to be growing.

While neither reconciliation nor divorce proceedings have been publicly confirmed, the relationship has become one of the most talked-about celebrity stories in the country.

For Stellah, the attention comes after years of living in the public eye. Since winning the Miss Uganda crown and later building a successful career in entertainment and media, she has remained one of Uganda’s most recognizable female celebrities.

That visibility, however, often comes at a price.

When public figures experience personal challenges, the line between public interest and private pain can quickly become blurred.

Judith Heard’s message ultimately centered on one theme: not every battle needs an audience.

“Sometimes silence speaks louder than exposing everything,” she concluded.

Whether Stellah chooses to follow that advice remains to be seen.

But as social media continues to feast on every new development in the saga, Heard’s intervention offers a different perspective—one that suggests that dignity, discretion and peace of mind may ultimately prove more valuable than winning arguments online.

In a world where everyone seems eager to comment on other people’s relationships, Judith Heard’s message was refreshingly simple: heartbreak is difficult enough without turning it into a public performance.

And perhaps that is the lesson she hopes Stellah Nantumbwe will take away from her own experience—when love goes wrong, healing is often found in private, not in the comments section.
