The Kyabazinga, William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV, and his wife, Queen Jovia Mutesi, have welcomed twin sons into their family.
The royal twins, Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, were born on August 27, 2025, as confirmed by Eng. Patrick Batumbya, chair of the royal wedding committee.
The Kyabazinga personally shared the news on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, writing: “With profound joy and heartfelt gratitude, I am delighted to formally announce the birth of our twin sons: Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, born on the 27th day of August 2025.”
Describing the birth as a cherished milestone, he assured that both the newborns and their mother were in excellent health. The Kyabazinga also expressed his gratitude to God and to all well-wishers who have shown support during this joyous occasion.
“We give thanks to Almighty God for His blessings and abundant grace, and for ushering us into this new chapter as a family of four. The outpouring of love, goodwill, and prayers from all our friends and well-wishers has been profoundly uplifting, and we remain sincerely appreciative of your continued support,” he added.
He further noted his eagerness to introduce the princes to the people of the Busoga Kingdom in due course.
The twin birth comes less than two years after the couple’s historic wedding on November 18, 2023, at Christ’s Cathedral in Bugembe, Jinja. Their union marked the first royal wedding in Busoga since 1956 and drew dignitaries from across Uganda and beyond. The ceremony, officiated by Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, concluded with a grand procession to Igenge Palace.
The arrival of Princes William Ethan and Arnold Eli is celebrated as a vital step in preserving the royal lineage and strengthening cultural traditions in Busoga. Private ceremonies and traditional blessings are expected to formally introduce the princes to the kingdom in the near future.
