Eight people have been confirmed dead after a landslide hit Kasika village Kigoro parish, Rukoki sub county in kasese District.
According to reports, the landslide happened following a heavy downpour in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The Uganda Red Cross is reporting that 18 people are missing with six injured.
Eye witnesses say roads and gardens have been destroyed by the catastrophe.
