Singer Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool has vowed to show the National Unity Platform presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine that president Museveni has more support than him ahead of the general polls.
In an interview with the media, Bebe Cool noted that no one in the entertainment industry better understands Bobi Wine than him adding that the singer turned politician is playing the game of music not politics.
Bebe cool’s remarks come at the time when different political analysts and politicians came out and complained about his processions while soliciting for NRM votes.
This prompted the singer to expressed his dismay at the Electoral Commission for not taking action when Bobi Wine is carrying on with rallies that are contrary to the COVID-19 guidelines.
Bebe Cool also slammed religious leaders, cultural leaders, NGOs among others for not coming out to condemn Bobi Wine’s move of holding processions and yet NRM presidential candidate is observing all the guidelines to curb the spread of the virus.
Bobi Wine was recently arrested in Luuka district where he had scheduled to address his supporters as he looks for votes ahead of the 2021 General Elections.
Police accused him of having more than 200 supporters recommended by the EC to contain further spread of COVID-19.
Bebe Cool who joined President Yoweri Museveni’s campaign trail of recent had attracted masses in processions in Northern and Eastern Uganda.
He however suspended the processions following the arrest of Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine who was later charged with spreading infectious disease; COVID-19.
Heeding to the advice of the top NRM leaders, Bebe Cool would later strategize and adopt the door to door scientific method of hunting for votes for president Museveni in East region.
However, Bebe Cool warned that should Bobi Wine resume the processions, he would also continue with the processions as he hunts for votes.
Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine were once close friends, sang together in the same group until they fell out in the 2000s because of different ideological issues.
Bebe Cool insisted that Bobi Wine, the leading opposition Presidential candidate in 2021 general elections can only be tamed by him.
“I know him. I understand him. I can manage him and I have drained all my accounts, I talked to my team, tomorrow (today) or the other day we shall be back in the field and he will fill the heat,” Bebe Cool said.
