I have Capacity To Be President Of Uganda — FDC’s Amuriat

1 Mins read

FDC’s president, Patrick Amuriat Oboi has revealed that he has the capacity to be the president of Uganda.

Amuriat revealed this after he showed interest in becoming FDC’s flag bearer in the 2021 general elections.

“I am such a person who does my work covertly, once I became FDC president I begun to develop ideas,” said Oboi.

He also said that he possesses the required leadership credentials having been inspired and groomed by the former party president RTD Col. Dr Kizza Besigye.

He also noted that his biggest obstacle on his presidential bid is the cracks that have developed in the opposition.

“What is playing out today is not good for the opposition because we are trying to eat into ourselves,” said Amuriat before adding that;

“You have a breakaway from the FDC and forming ANT and going with the few members. You see members of Parliament of the Democratic Party joining NUP.

“My preference would have been for us to go and poach from the NRM and that would be registered as growth of the opposition.”
