Speeding Lorry Kills One Along Entebbe Road

One person has died in an accident along Entebbe Road when a lorry failed to break and knocked two motor cycles.

The incident happened yesterday at Katale, Lweza, Entebbe Highway at about 12:45 hours.

Its alleged that motor vehicle registration number UAY 988G Sino truck red in colour knocked two (02) motor cycles.

The vehicle failed to brake and knocked dead a motorcycle rider with registration number UEL 809T Bajaj Boxer, red in colour.

The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Kiyenge Tony aged 43 years a resident of seguku, Wakiso District.

The other rider of motorcycle registration number UEG 524G Bajaj Boxer red in colour identified as Nabongo Denis and resident of Ndejje in Wakiso escaped with no injuries.

The cause of accident is suspected to be reckless driving by the Driver of the motor vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle is still at large.

The body was taken to city mortuary Mulago for post-mortem.

The vehicle and the two motor cycles are parked at Police yard pending inspection as investigations continue.
