Catholic MPs have said that they will meet the archbishop of Kampala, Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga to get more information on the priests that spy for the government.
Over the weekend, archbishop Lwanga told believers that he got information that there are priests that are being used by government to spy on events in the church.
He further alleged that operatives in CMI, ISO, ESO and other security organisations trade in lies and this is not good for national security.
In yesterday’s plenary session, Mukono Municipality MP, Betty Nambooze Bakileke said that government should respond to Archbishop Lwanga’s allegations.
Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda later informed that house that the president is already handling the issue and everything is on course.
This website understands that President Museveni called the archbishop on phone and the Spying issues in the church were discussed.
