The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has unveiled a new digital platform that allows customers to access a wide range of water services without having to visit its physical offices.
Dubbed NWSC Duuka, the platform has been introduced as the corporation’s official NWSC E-Branch, bringing services such as billing, payments, new connections and account management directly to customers’ mobile phones.
The move is expected to reduce queues at NWSC offices while making it easier for customers to manage their water accounts remotely.
Through NWSC Duuka, customers can access their digital water bills, predict their bills, pay water bills and apply for new water connections.
Tenants can also use the platform to switch their water account from one property to another, while customers can view transaction details and monitor their water consumption through digital consumption trends.
The platform further allows tenants to update their contact details and gives customers a channel through which they can submit feedback to NWSC.
“Your digital water shop is ready,” NWSC said while encouraging customers to register and take advantage of the new services.
Customers can access the E-Branch by downloading the NWSC Mobile App or registering through the NWSC E-Services portal.
The digital push comes as utilities increasingly turn to technology to improve customer service, reduce dependence on physical offices and give consumers greater control over their accounts.
For NWSC customers, the new platform means routine services that previously required a trip to a water office can now be handled remotely, potentially saving both time and transport costs.
The corporation has urged customers to register for the service and embrace the digital platform as an alternative to visiting NWSC offices for routine transactions.
