The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has officially released the timetable for the 2025 national examinations — covering the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
According to UNEB Executive Director, Dan Odongo, the examination season will begin on Friday, October 10th with the briefing of UCE candidates. This will be the second time that UNEB assesses students under the new Competency-Based Curriculum at the UCE level.
The Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) will kick off on Friday, October 31st, while the UACE will begin on November 7th, 2025.
In addition, UNEB has directed heads of examination centers, along with district, city, and municipal inspectors of schools, to display candidates’ registers for public viewing between August 10th and October 10th, 2025.
As required by the UNEB Act, Cap 259 Section 4(2), the registers must be displayed in a conspicuous place at both the respective examination centers and at district headquarters, ensuring transparency and accountability in the registration process.
