Bebe Cool Gears Up for the Release of “Circumference” Visuals and His Controversial Music Industry List

1 Mins read

Renowned Ugandan musician Bebe Cool is kicking off the new year in high gear, teasing fans with multiple exciting announcements.

On Friday, December 13, Bebe Cool dropped Circumference, the lead single from his forthcoming album, Break the Chains.

Since then, the artist has juggled a whirlwind of activities, including traveling abroad, supporting fellow artist Jose Chameleone during a recent hospitalization, and preparing for his highly anticipated annual Boxing Day concert, Tondeka e’Kiwatule.

Despite his busy schedule, Bebe Cool continues to push boundaries. Earlier today, he took to social media to announce that the visuals for Circumference will premiere on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Alongside the release, he plans to share a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the song’s video and audio.

However, before unveiling the visuals, Bebe Cool has another major event lined up. On January 1, he will release his annual Bebe Cool List—a bold and often polarizing assessment of the Ugandan music industry’s performance over the past year.

“Get ready for the most honest, bold, and most credible analysis of the Ugandan music industry,” he declared in his announcement, sparking curiosity and debate among fans and fellow artists alike.

The Bebe Cool List, notorious for stirring controversy, has become a yearly tradition that invariably draws mixed reactions. While some view it as an insightful critique, others see it as a platform for Bebe Cool to court controversy and provoke his peers. Over the years, the list has both strained relationships and forged new alliances within the industry.

This year, fans are eager to see if Bebe Cool will include Circumference on the list, despite the track being just two weeks old. The artist has previously raised eyebrows by featuring his own music among the year’s best.

Opinions about Circumference are already divided. While some criticize Bebe Cool’s pivot toward an Afrobeats sound, others praise his versatility and ambition to transcend African borders with his music. The shift is seen as a strategic move to align with popular global trends—a fitting move for an album titled Break the Chains.

With these upcoming releases and the promise of fresh discourse in the music scene, Bebe Cool proves once again that he’s a force to be reckoned with in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
