Ethiopia’s Ambassador Etsegenet Presents Credentials To Pres. Museveni, Promises To Strengthen Addis – K’la Relations

H.E. Etsegenet Bezabih Yimenu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (F.D.R.E.) to the Republic of Uganda, on Tuesday presented her letters of credence to Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, with a promise to strengthen existing ties between the two nations.

The ceremony which took place at State House Entebbe, also saw a host of other new envoys presenting their credentials.

At the presentation ceremony, Ambassador Etsegenet conveyed greetings and good wishes from H.E Sahle-Work Zewde, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, to President Museveni.

The two also discussed historic and cultural similarities that both Uganda and Ethiopia share. At the same time, H.E. Ambassador mentioned the natural beauty of Uganda as inescapable, saying, “it is a stunning country with the loveliest green scenery.”

The Ethiopian envoy also highlighted the Long-standing and historically friendly relations between Ethiopia and Uganda. Ambassador Etsegenet stated that she would work to take this relationship to a higher level during her tenure.

H.E. Ambassador expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Government and People of Uganda for her warm welcome upon arriving and during her stay in Uganda.

The ambassador was accompanied by a host of embassy officials.

Uganda and Ethiopia established diplomatic relations in 1964 and both countries enjoy a warm friendship that includes cooperation in various fields.
