Unidentified people have killed a student of Nakaloke Secondary School in Mbale City Northern division.
The student, whose identity has been withheld, was raped, killed, and dumped near fish ponds in Nandala A cell, Rock ward.
According to Hassan Makulu, the LC1 chairperson of Nandala A cell, the body was found by passersby this morning who promptly alerted him.
The deceased’s body was found wearing only underwear, leading them to suspect that she was sexually assaulted before being killed.
Yahaya Were, the Northern City Division Deputy Resident City Commissioner confirmed the incident, saying that the deceased’s body has been transported to the Mbale City mortuary for postmortem examination.
Were cautioned the youth against substance abuse and urged parents to exercise control over their children by not allowing them to roam freely at night.
