The head of Politcal Education Department at Uganda Police has sensitized officers in Busoga Sub region on ideology
This initiative was arranged by education department under the Directorate of Chief Political Commissar.
The team that is led by SSP Nyabongo Edgar accompanied by SP Kutusa Marion has met with officers from Bugiri, Iganga and Jinja respectively.
“We are carrying out a sensitization campaign on the ideology of the police, we want youu to be a people centred police, corruption free, serve the public with professionalism and also listen to issues affecting you as police officers in delivering serviice delivery to the public,” said SSP Nyabobogo.
He noted that the political Education Department is a link between that listens and finds solution to challenges like in welfare and social clinic, treatment to subversive tendencies, identify officers that may need special mental attention and offer physco-social support.
The team has also instituted barracks action teams to enhance barracks safety and conflict management in all the barracks communities in the region.
