Ex Minister Father Lokodo Who Led Popular Crusade Against Homos Dies Aged 64

Uganda’s ex minister of Ethics and Integrity, Father Simon Lokodo is dead.

According to reports, Father Lokodo passed on in Geneva, Switzerland. He was 64.

The Uganda Human Rights Commission, where he’s been a member tweeted the news.

Father Lokodo served as Minister of State for Ethics & Integrity in the Office of the President from 2011 to 2021.

Previously he was the Minister of State for Industry from 2009 to 2011. He also served as the elected Member of Parliament representing Dodoth County, Kaabong District.

He won the admiration of Ugandans for leading a passionate crusade against homosexuality and corruption.
