He has however, abandoned support of the child, causing anger among a section of Christians who want him to be called to order.

In January, Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most. Rev. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, shocked the nation when he revealed in a letter, that his predecessor, the retired Archbishop Ntagali had had an extra-marital affair with a married woman (Judith).

Ntagali acknowledged it in public and asked for forgiveness.

He would later be banned from conduction Church services under the jurisdiction of the Church of Uganda.
