PM Nabbanja: We’re Investigating Police Van Working As Taxi

The Premier Robinah Nabbanja has revealed that government is investigating reports of an apparent police van transporting people at a cost.

A video has been making rounds on social media showing what appears to be a police van with people entering while others disembarking and paying money.

“I have noted with concern a video circulating on social media showing a @PoliceUg van transporting citizens at a cost. We are investigating the allegations and if found to be true, the culprits will face the law.
Let’s be vigilant and report criminality,” Nabbanja tweeted on Saturday.

On Friday, President Yoweri Museveni announced a total lockdown, banning public and private transport except for essentials.
