Gov’t Invites Bobi Wine To Attend Museveni Inauguration

The government of Uganda has extended invitations to a number of people to attend the inauguration of President-elect Yoweri Museveni.

Museveni will swear in for another term in office, on 12th May 2021.

According to a statement issued by ICT Minister Judith Nabakooba, the event to be held at Kololo Independence Grounds will host only 4000 guests.

MPs-elect have been invited to attend the function on Wednesday, which has also been declared a public holiday.

Former presidential candidates who participated in the January poll that Museveni won, have been invited.

All guest set to attend the function will undergo COVID19 tests and those whose results turn up positive, will not be allowed to attend.

Every district will be represented by 17 people at the function.
