Minister of State for Labour, Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana has finally been defeated in the race to represent Rushenyi County, Ntungamo district in Parliament.
Rukutana was defeated by Naome Kabasharira whom the had a tight contest in the NRM primaries.
In the NRM Primaries, Rukutana contested with Kabasharira and the voting turned chaotic.
The chaos landed the minister in Jail after he attempted to shoot at civilians.
Rukutana was declared the NRM flag bearer while in jail and the dissatisfied Kabasharira chose to run as an independent.
Kabasharira has now defeated Rukutana who has represented Rushenyi county in parliament since Constituency Assembly days.
Our sources have revealed that Rukutana will not contest the results in courts of law and he has chosen to go and give his wives full care.
