Minister Kiwanda Drops Out Of 2021 Elections

Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda the State Minister for Tourism will not be contesting in the 2021 General elections.

He has previously been the MP for Mityana North for three terms but unfortunately he is leaving other to take up his spot in parliament.

According to the minister, his decision is heavily backed by the NRM party leadership and he would rather focus on his new role as the NRM Vice Chairperson in the Central Region.

Hon. Kiwanda is popularly known for being a part of the Miss Curvy Uganda pageant, one that he started with Anne Mungoma to use Ugandan women to use their bodies as a tourist attraction.

Under him, the Ministry of Tourism also started the Tulambule campaign that used celebrities to travel around Uganda and encourage both domestic and foreign tourism.
