Uganda’s music legend and self-proclaimed singing doctor, Jose Chameleone is living large with his close family members and friends, Ug Mirror reports.
Our highly place sources Kampala Sheraton Hotel have revealed that for over a week now, Jose Chameleone, his brother Weasel and close friends have been staying at Sheraton hotel enjoying themselves to the fullest.
Our sources have also revealed that Chameleone has turned the hotel in to his office where he is strategizing on how to win the Kampala Lord Mayor race come 2021 under the NUP ticket.
His arch-rival will be the current Lord Mayor and FDC flag bearer, Ssalongo Erias Lukwago.
Our sources have also revealed that Chameleone’s motive of abandoning his home and booking into a hotel is not clear.
Meanwhile, we have established that so far, the singer has started paying off some of his debts.
Sources say that he has been making payments to some individuals who have been frequenting the hotel since last Friday.
It has also been revealed that Chameleone has created enemies for who are grumbling that ever since he booked into the hotel, he has distanced himself from some of the pals and avoiding their calls.
Chameleone has also resumed the finishing works on his new mansion in Akright real Estate in Bwebajja which he has been building for two years now.
We have since learnt that the singer will soon be unleashing a new SUV car that will help him traverse the city as he looks for votes.
It should be noted that in July last year, the singer officially joined DP where the party president Norbert Mao appointed him as a national mobiliser and later this year crossed to People Power with other DP MPs including Medard Lubega Ssegona, Allan Ssewanyana, Joseph Ssewungu, Betty Namboze among others.
He was also part of a group of artists who sang in the Tubonga Naawe project ahead of the 2016 presidential elections but later made a U-Turn and crossed to the opposition.
