NTV Staff Tests Positive For COVID-19

A member of staff at the Serena based TV station NTV has tested positive for COVID-19, Ug Mirror reports.

Sources have revealed that the staff is always in the field and efforts are now underway to locate and isolate his/her contacts.

This comes at a time when COVID-19 case was confirmed at New Vision Head office.

Ministry of health spokesperson, Emmanuel Ainebyona had cautioned journalists to remain vigilant as they do their work.

“Dear Journalists, please take caution and observe @MinofHealthUG

 preventative measures. The level of complacency among those covering the various activities/events is very high.  It is unfortunate the two media houses have since registered COVID-19 cases,” tweeted Emma.

It is worth noting that today Uganda registered two COVID-19 deaths and the toll now stands at 15.

60 COVID-19 cases were also confirmed today.
