The Dp block has urged president Museveni to dismiss the minister of health Dr. Ruth Aceng following the controversy around recently concluded Rubella measles immunization noting that there are many things which didn’t go well.
The call was made during the press conference that was held at the party headquarters in Kampala on Tuesday, Samuel Walter Lubega a Dp block member expressed his fear citing some mishaps in the recently concluded mass measles and rubella immunisation.
“She should be sacked as the minister of health with immediate effect, the Democratic Party is calling upon government, and the president to sack her with immediate effect,” he said.
He also added that the same ministry called for Cuban doctors when Ugandan doctors went on strike which was unbecoming.
He also commented on the forth coming elections noting that some of the organisers are partisan.
“RDCs have been put in charge, it can’t be fair but with European Union taking up this matter with the president and we encouraging all other people including UN to force him to accept people demands about electoral reforms,” he said.
