Uganda Cranes Beat Malawi

Uganda Cranes registered a 2-0 home win against visiting Malawi during the TOTAL Afcon 2021 group B qualifier played at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Sunday, 17th November 2019.

Emmanuel Arnold Okwi and Fahad Bayo netted the goals for Uganda.

Okwi’s goal arrived in the 29th minute and Bayo scored the second in the 68th minute.

Uganda Cranes now had four points from two matches as Malawi who beat South Sudan in the opener remains on three points.

The game marked Uganda Cranes’ return to Namboole after 366 days when Uganda hosted Cape Verde in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers.

In the other game of the same group, Burkina Faso beat South Sudan 2-0 in Khartoum.
