JUST IN! Tear Gas Fired as Police Block FDC Party Members From Accessing Namboole Stadium

The level of unrest happening in Uganda is on a high increase lately with the latest being the blocking of FDC party members from accessing Namboole Stadium.

Word reaching us is that the Uganda Police headed by Maj. Gen. Sabiiti Muzei, the Deputy IGP has blocked FDC Party members from accessing Namboole stadium where they were set to hold a general assembly earlier today.

Kireka is now crowded with a multitude of police officers in the counter terrorism unit ready to act incase of any disruption.

Tear gas has already sent people running for their life and businesses getting closed ao early in the day.

However, party members quickly gathered at the FDC Office in Kireka before they decided to take the press conference to their offices in Najjanankumbi.

Dr. Kizza Besigye who has just returned from Switzerland however was barred from leaving as police surrounded his motorcade, arresting many of his supporters.
