Frank Gashumba, the chief executive officer Sisimuka Uganda has advised singer Edirisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo to stop making noise over the issue of his former girlfriend Rema Namakula who got engaged to another man.
Recently Singer Rema Namakula introduced her new lover to her parents in Kampala.
During the introduction that took place few days ago, the controversial cleric Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata applauded Rema for dumping Kenzo because he was not serious about their relationship.
Muzaata also accused Kenzo of being a play boy. This did not go well with some artists in the industry who say Muzaata should not have made those remarks which ridiculed their boy Kenzo.
The artists demand an apology from the cleric.
Kenzo also announced that he will be sleeping outside the Kibuli Mosque for an indefinite period until the PRO, Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata apologises for disgracing him and apparently invoking his mother’s memory, as well as referring to him as gay.
However, during an interview with a local TV station Gashumba warned Kenzo to stop intimidating Ugandans because he is not the first person to be dumped and left by a woman.
He said if the singer cannot manage such a small challenge in his life, he is free to pack his belongings and go back to the village.
“If you are tired of singing go back to Masaka, stop intimidating Ugandans. I was expecting Kenzo to stay calm over this issue, when a woman decides to dump you, it means she left you 2 years back. I thank Rema because I have never heard her involved in any love scandal in town,” he said.
Gashumba explained that Rema leaving and marrying another man was a good move because she could have produced Hamza’s baby while at Kenzo’s home.
“When she decided to Marry Hamza, and left Kenzo’s home that was a good thing because she could have gotten pregnant while at Kenzo’s home so since she decided to leave peacefully, I thank her for such a brave decision and Kenzo should also move on,” he noted.
He urged the BET award winner to stay calm and stop stressing himself for noting since there are many girls the singer can marry in this country.
“Kenzo, stop stressing yourself, you will die for nothing and we won’t hesitate to bury you, we lost Michael Jackson, we also lost Radio, be like a man, she has left you, find another woman. In Uganda no artist is bigger than you Internationally, if Rema has been taken, just let her go,” he said.
He cited examples of some the most successful people who have managed to overcome even bigger challenges than the one the singer is currently facing.
He noted that president Museveni can be the best example to him because he faced all sort of abuses both locally and intentionally but that didn’t stop him from leading the country.
“Now the question is if you refuse to sing in Uganda, do you think the sun won’t set and rise? Ugandans can move on without you, so Kenzo look at the people like us, our hearts have been broken several times, what you are going through is just a small thing,” he said.
He urged Kenzo to be very careful otherwise he maybe collapse and lose his life instantly.
He however said most of the ladies who supports Rema Namakula are single mothers who failed to manage their marriages over years and now they think she is representing them in marriage which is not true.
He further advised singer Rema to always remain firm, never to come out and complain about her marriage issues in the public domain no matter any challenge she faces in her life.
The best answer so far in the Rema-Kenzo saga.
Kenzo take leave for some time. All shall be well with you. Seasons come and go but you have a life to live on. Thanks
