NWSC commits to excellent customer service – Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha

The National water and Sewerage Corporation Managing Director Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha has said that the utility is committed to excellent customer service.

National Water and Sewerage Corporation bagged three awards at the Digital Impact Awards organized by HiPipo at Mestil hotel.
Awards;
•Best Digital Customer Service
•Best Digital Customer Experience (Utilities)
•Best E-Service/E-Commerce

While receiving the awards, Dr. Silver said that the awards exhibit a continuous vote of confidence from the utility customers, stakeholders and members of the public who recognize the corporation’s tireless efforts towards service delivery.
“Awards don’t automatically qualify us as the best.

However, when we are recognized, we are motivated to implore new ways of serving our customers better. The board, management and staff are working on various avenues to better the NWSC customer experience.

Dr. Silver attributed the corporation’s success to the support from the Government of Uganda and the NWSC workforce who are committed to excellent customer service and water and sewerage services for all.

NWSC has increased its footprint from 23 towns in 2013 to now over 253 towns countrywide.

The corporation has improved its service coverage from 75% in 2011 to now 84%, the number of new connections have increased from 272,406 to now 659,157, turn over has increased from 132B to now 443B and the operational surplus has increased from 30 (+)billion to now over 95(+)billion to mention but a few achievements that have been attained.
