Anite Praises Chinese For Investing In Uganda

The state minister for investment and privatization, Evelyn Anite has applauded Chinese government for always believing and investing in Uganda.

She noted that the setting up of industries in the country will help to provide employment to Ugandans.

Speaking at the launch of Sang heavy machinery assembling plant in Namanve on Sunday, Anite said setting up such plants will help to meet the presidential promise of curbing unemployment in the country.

“We have ready market and consume your products, so do not fear to invest and assemble them in this country, we will give you all the support,” she said.

She noted that for every construction sector to develop there must be dependable engineers and construction machinery if the set targets are to be realised in a specified time frame.

“I am happy to hear that you appreciate the investment climate. We give you all the tax incentives and in turn we expect you to create jobs for our people,” she said.

She thanked the Chinese group for all the efforts put in providing constructive equipment.

The chairman of Tian Tang group, Paul Zhang confirmed that Uganda is a very safe and stable place for their investment.

He noted that the company hopes to set up Uganda as a flagship market for Tiang Tang group in Africa.

Zhao Xiueen, economic and commercial chancellor of China in Uganda revealed that Uganda relation with China is at higher level considering the business and opportunities both nations share.

Uganda will now be able to purchase locally assembled heavy machinery like excavators, pilling machinery crawler crane, mobile port machinery, road machinery and many more.

The heavy machinery equipment will be assembled at a plant run by Pearl Track Uganda Limited (PTUL).

The firm is also a wholly owned subsidiary of   Tian Tang group.

Pearl Track has established a comprehensive operation centre that integrates showrooms, service centre, spare parts warehouse and bonded warehouse.
