The Uganda government spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo is on cloud nine after the country’s President Yoweri Museveni extended his contract to three more years.
Opondo took to social media micro-blogging site Twitter to make the announcement and thank the president.
“President @KagutaMuseveni has extended my contract of service for a further three-year period effective today July 1st, 2019. It is with great gratitude to continue to serve the President, the Government and Citizens of Uganda,” Ofwono wrote.
Opondo who also doubles as Uganda Media Centre boss is known for his passionate defence of the Uganda government positions, sometimes controversial and unappealing to the public eye.
He is also a regular panelist on radio and TV.
