Singer Mesach Semakula Makes History as King of Buganda Graces His Music Concert

The King of Buganda his majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II on Friday evening showed a memorial appearance at the music concert of a celebrated singer Mesach Semakula.

The concert dubbed “Bwagamba Experience” took place at Hotel Africa in Kampala.

Singer Mesach made   history when the king graced his concert and was among the revellers at his music concert.

Kabaka made grand appearance at around 9pm where he was welcomed by hundreds of revellers who came for the concert.

The king was ushered in with ululations, drum beats, applause and lots of excitement from his subjects.

 His majesty later settled down on his throne in a reserved area upstairs directly facing the stage as he enjoyed Semakula’s thrilling performance.

 Other artists who came to show love to Mesach tried so hard to impress the king through their performances.

 Mesach started his performance with some of his traditional songs related to the culture of Buganda.

He showed readiness and high organisational level at his show as it was evident from his delivery, sound, stage arrangement, lighting among others.

He expressed his excitement in the presence of the king and vowed to continue singing traditional songs relating to the kingdom of Buganda.

He thanked the king and other officials from Buganda kingdom for accepting his request to attend his music show.

 The king’s appearance was not only a surprise to the singer Mesach Semakula but also a surprise to his subjects.

Some of the of the artists who performed at the concert include Bebe Cool, Ronald Mayinja, Rema Namakula, Lydia Jazmine among others.

Politicians who attended the concert include the Vice President of Uganda Gilbert Bukenya, Allan Ssewanyana, Francis Zaake, Kato Lubwama, Latif Ssebaggala among others,

The concert was held few weeks after Mesach Semakula was honoured by Kabaka of Buganda Muwenda Mutebi II at his 64th birthday celebrations.

The Kabaka honoured Mesach with special certificate for his enormous contribution towards the Buganda kingdom through his music.
