B-Club Kampala, Pearl Of Africa Hotel and Davido Apologise For Late Performance

2 Mins read

B-Club Kampala and Pear of Africa Hotel, organisers of the 30 Billion concert in Kampala on New Year’s eve, and Nigerian superstar, Davido have all apologized for the late show appearance caused by delays in his flight clearance at different airports.

Davido was flying his personal jet for the show which experienced massive delays at the airports due to clearance and stops at different city stopovers for shows.

The Nigerian superstar lit up the stage at Pearl of Africa Hotel on 1st January as the country ushered in the new year. However, he wasn’t able to make it for the Pool party organized on the 30th December, and the countdown to the New Year, something blamed on flight delays and clearance from Nigeria. However, he missed the countdown by a few minutes. He regretted because his posts indicate he wanted to close 2018 with his Ugandan fans.

The 30 billion concert was organized by B-Club Kampala and Pearl of Africa Hotel. Sources have intimated to us that the duo is in apologetic mood because of Davido’s late appearance.

Davido’s apology was posted on his Twitter account moments before landing;

“Uganda I had some flight delays tonight and I couldn’t make it but I’ll be there in a few hours. We’re gonna light it up tomorrow at the Pearl of Africa Hotel! Baddest!” Davido posted on his Twitter account that was relaying by-the-minute updates of his journey from Nigeria.

Later he added, “New Years with my people in Uganda 🇺🇬 2nite! ! Meet me at the Pearl of Africa Hotel!”

Sources add that local service providers, not conversant with B-Club experience caused the other hiccups.

However, despite the late appearance, Davido showed up at some minutes past the new year and put up an energetic performance much to the excitement of the patient fans who turned up for the show.

The show was attended by Kampala’s socialites and ‘Ba summer’ who according to our source who attended, were seen to be enjoying the experience.

The organisers have big plans up their sleeves for the year and our sources say they are planning a mega show for Valentine’s day that will leave Kampala’s party animals wanting nothing but more of entertainment.

“B-Club is planning to bring an American RnB singer in the country and is said to be in talks with Pearl of Africa Hotel to make it the one stop spot for world stars and more experience with big names including movie stars, sports personalities and many more,” the source said.

B-Club Kampala is in the process of opening a club in Kampala. B-Club is known in Nairobi for unleashing any international artist for the fans pleasure. It is also opening a beach club in Entebbe, something many say will change the entertainment landscape in the country with new fabulous experiences.
