Police Officer Urinates On the Road, Arrested By KCCA

A yet to be identified Police officer was today arrested by KCCA officers after he was found urinating along Lugogo by-pass in Kampala.

KCCA has for a long time warned Ugandans that it is against the law to urinate in public most especially in the City.

Upon arrest, Uganda Police Force said that no one is against the law and their officer should be punished.

“No one is above the law. As public servants, Police officers should be held to a higher standard,” reads a tweet on Uganda Police Twitter Timeline.

Its worth noting that a few months ago, Kampala Capital City Authority court charged Arua Municipality MP, Abraham Abiriga with committing a public nuisance after he was found urinating on the Ministry of Finance fence along Kyaggwe road in Kampala.

The KCCA maintenance law and order ordinance 2016 states that if any person is found guilty of urinating in the city, commits a public nuisance offence and is fined Shs40, 000 or imprisoned for 2 months or serve both sentences.
