Yesterday was the final campaign day in Jinja East by-election where FDC’s Paul Mwiru is tussle it out with NRM’s Nathan Igeme Nabeta but what shocked many were the huge numbers that turned up at Busoga square in Jinja.

“Paul Mwiru’s final rally in Jinja was a huge demonstration against the NRM Junta! Great energy in the sea of people.

All determined to struggle for CHANGE in Uganda. TUKIGGALE!” FDC icon Dr. Kizza Besigye said after the rally.

On the same rally, Kyadondo East MP, Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine urged Mwiru supporters to turn up in large numbers and vote for their candidate.

He further said that the people must protect their vote and make sure there is no vote rigging.

“Like the way how we did it in Kyadondo, it should be done here in Jinja. We be peaceful and we guard our vote. The victory will be ours.”

The rally was also attended by several opposition key figures including, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, Abdu Katuntu, Ingrid Turinawe, Mugisha Muntu, Paul Kakande, Paul Amuriat and many more.
