Global dance music icon Skrillex is set to make his East African debut at the 10th Anniversary of Nyege Nyege Festival, taking place from November 20–23, 2025, at Kalagala Falls on the Nile River, hosted at the Adrift Overland Camp & River Club.
Skrillex, hailed as one of the most groundbreaking artists of his generation, has redefined the global electronic music landscape. He has headlined legendary stages such as Coachella, Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza, and collaborated with global stars including Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Diplo, and Fred Again. With multiple Grammy Awards and billions of streams, his upcoming performance marks a historic milestone for Uganda and East Africa’s festival circuit.
The 10th edition of Nyege Nyege will feature more than 100 artists performing across six immersive stages, showcasing a fusion of ancestral rhythms, underground beats, and futuristic soundscapes. Organizers say additional headliners will be revealed soon, promising one of the most unforgettable editions yet.
“This tenth edition is not just a celebration of our journey so far; it is a bold declaration of our future,” festival organizers said.
For its landmark year, Nyege Nyege is permanently relocating to Kalagala Falls, a sacred natural wonder that offers breathtaking views, lush wilderness, bungee jumping, and state-of-the-art festival infrastructure.
Organized by Talent Africa Group, the festival has evolved into a global cultural hub, blending Uganda’s rich musical traditions with international club culture and diasporic sounds from the Caribbean, Latin America, and beyond. This year, attendees can also explore curated adventure packages through sautisafari.com, combining music with discovery.
As Nyege Nyege turns 10, Skrillex’s headlining set underscores its reputation as one of the world’s boldest, most innovative festivals, putting Uganda firmly on the global entertainment map.
