The Uganda Embassy in Paris, France is showcasing Uganda’s tourism potential at the 47th International & French Tourism Market (IFTM) Expo, currently underway at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
The Embassy is leading Team Uganda, comprising top tour operators from both Uganda and France, in an effort to position Uganda as a premier travel destination.
IFTM is the leading B2B trade fair for French and European tourism, bringing together thousands of professionals in leisure, business travel, MICE, group travel, and technology. The expo serves as a key international hub for creative innovators and industry leaders.
France remains one of Uganda’s most promising tourism source markets, with French tourist arrivals steadily increasing in recent years. At the three-day expo, Team Uganda is spotlighting the country’s unique attractions, from wildlife and adventure to cultural tourism — while also presenting opportunities for investment in Uganda’s travel and hospitality industry.
The Embassy’s participation forms part of Uganda’s Economic and Commercial Diplomacy (ECD) Program, which focuses on boosting visibility in France, Spain, and Portugal, all major tourist markets in Europe. As part of this strategy, the Embassy has also been organizing familiarization trips for European tour operators and travel influencers to experience Uganda first-hand and promote the country as a must-visit destination.
