Customer Accuses Equity Bank of Internally Removing Shs10million From His Account

1 Mins read

The unexplained vanishing of customers’ savings at Equity Bank Uganda has brought the institution back into the public eye once more.

A customer of Equity Bank named Farook Ssekandi has lashed out at the financial institution for its inability to assist him in recouping the ten million shillings that he believes were stolen from him by an employee of the bank.

The consumer claims that he deposited 10 million shillings into his account but afterwards discovered that the money was missing.

“This bank I am in, they stole my Shs10million, I am here crying for my money and no one is willing to help,” said Farook Ssekandi in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

He further said; “There is this other customer, they robbed him Shs1.5million.

“They have given me a security guy who is going to help me restore my money on the account but he is not helping.

“They begged me to open an account at Equity Bank Kireka branch but now those who are supposed to help me are just running away.

“They just steal the money from our accounts. They stole my 10million and they are not helping me.

Police know them, the cases of this nature are many in courts.”
