Security Officers Among The Victims of Capital Chicken Fraud

On the run!! Mr. Pius Wamanga Director, Capital chicken ltd

Victims of the Capital Chicken Ponzi scheme have lodged over 80 complaints with the Kira Road Police Station and the Kampala Central Police Station (CPS).

It is understood by this website that one of the complainants may have lost up to 420 million Shillings.

Since two case files, GEF 38/2023 and GEF 39/2023, have been opened at Kira Road and Kampala Central Police Station –CPS, respectively, the number is anticipated to be more than 80.

According to sources, two retired civil servants and a retired security officer spent 420 million and 380 million shillings, respectively, on capital chicken.

It is known that several individuals had made investments in Capital Chicken using Emyooga funds.

Every shilling invested in the chicken business will result in a 15% monthly profit, according to the Ponzi scheme managers.

People trusted Capital Chicken, located along Kanjokya Street in Kampala Central Division, with their money in exchange for investment returns.

Capital Chicken has been operating efficiently for almost three years, and its customer base had continued to expand.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, the clients lost faith in the managers when they were told to return later to pick up their investments or profits.

On September 29, a major surprise occurred when people showed up at the office and discovered it was closed.

Even while Owoyesigyire had previously estimated that the lost funds were 1.6 billion Shillings, it is now claimed that, as more complaints come in, the amount is getting close to two billion Shillings.

Transactions have been clarified by the recorded statements. In addition, pertinent records related to these transactions have been found to support our current inquiry, according to ASP Owoyesigyire.

Pius Wamanga and Ernest Sempebwa Ernest, who are believed to have left the nation, have been named by the police as the main suspects.

A few Capital Chicken employees apparently discovered that their offices had also been unexpectedly closed.

“Our investigators are working hard to discover the truth about this purported fraud. We are dedicated to bringing this investigation to a prompt and fair conclusion, and we acknowledge the public’s and the victims’ worries,” Owoyesigyire stated.

In order to gather sufficient evidence for the suspects’ trial if they are arrested, police have asked the public to continue reporting crimes. Some organizations, however, have sworn not to report because they believe it to be embarrassing.

More over two billion shillings were lost in BLQ’s Ponzi scheme for online gaming last year. On social media, one of the founders expressed gratitude to Ugandans for their financial contributions and made a commitment to return with an updated version.
