The head of the Office of the National Chairman of NRM, SPA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, on Monday resumed her countrywide wealth creation campaign whose aim is to boost household incomes.

Hajjat Hadijah spent the better part of Monday camped in Greater luwero, specifically Nakaseke and Nakasongola districts where she interecated with groups of people who had been taught the basics of farming and how it translates into a self sustaining lifestyle.

Here, she distributed an assortment of items including; chicks, hybrid goats and poultry feed.

Beneficiaries in Nakaseke South each received two hybrid goats ( male and female), 200 chicks and 750kgs of feeds that included; starters, growers, and finisher mash. Hajjat Hadijjah also covered the veterinary and transportation expenses of these animals.

In Nakasongola, the youth that had been trained, received 2000 chicks, 20 hybrid goats and 150 bags of chicken feed enough to take care of the chicken until they are ready for sale.

This followed a training facilitated by the same office on how maximise yield from the products.

“When the president makes a stop in Luwero, you the beneficiaries should be able to serve as role models for the changes in household incomes arising out of this project,” Hadijah told the beneficiaries.

President Museveni early this year, started tours of Uganda’s regions. He is expected to visit all parts of the country as he takes stock of government’s programs especially PDM and emyooga.

Last week, Hajjat Hadijah launched the pilot project in the areas of Katikamu North and South and Zirobwe in Luwero District.

Explaining President Museveni’s choice of Luwero as starting point of the project, Hadijah revealed that the district is the “Mecca of Uganda.”

“When I discussed the project with the president, he reasoned that it should start with Luwero which launched his protected struggle that brought him to power,” the ONC boss said last week.

It should be recalled that Luwero was the theatre of the give year NRA war which catapulted Museveni to power in 1986.
