Next Media Services has terminated contracts of over 60 staff members, Ug Mirror reports.

In what they termed as digital realignment and restructure of the company, left top editors and producers jobless effective November 30, 2022.

“After lengthy deliberation and consideration on this process. the Management and Board of Next Media have had to make the difficult decision to have some Transformers step down from their roles with as effective Wednesday, November 30, 2022,” reads the statement issued by Desire Derekford Mugumisa, Head of Corporate Affairs at Next Media Services.

The statement further reads that; Group CEO, Kin Kariisa, said. “This has been one of the most difficult decisions the Group has ever had to make. especially because of how long some of the departing People have served us and how much respect I have for them.”

“With the ever-evolving global trends and media consumption habits, our business needs to continue effectively serving its consumers, partners, and stakeholders. We believe now is the best time to realign and act towards remaining relevant in our highly competitive environment. –

“On behalf of everyone at the Next Media Park, our Board and myself, I would like to thank all leaving us. We are grateful for their journey with us and the foundations they have laid to make Next Media the brand it is today. We wish them great success in the future.”

Our snoops have since revealed to us that among the top editors, producers and reporters who have been fired include; Idris Kiggundu, Tyaba Abubakar, Kyeyune Noah, Fatia Nassali, John Kibalizi,Aminah Nabukenya, Jordan Mubangizi, Esther Namutamba,Elijah Turyagumanawe ,Richard Olweny, Micheal Kigozi and Many More.
