PHOTOS: 20 Confirmed Dead In Link Bus Accident

Uganda Police has so far confirmed that 20 people have died in the fatal link bus accident in Kyenjojo district.

“The territorial Police in Kyenjojo responded to a fatal accident which occurred this morning at around 10.30am, involving a link bus reg No UBA 003S that was traveling to Kampala from Fort portal,” said Farida Nampiima, the PRO of traffic police.

She further added that; “It happened 2KMs from Fort portal city at a place called Sebitoli.

“The injured have been rushed to Buhinga hospital for first aid while the dead are at the same hospital for post-mortem.

“So far 20 people have been confirmed dead, out of whom   thirteen are adults while 7 are juveniles.

“Out of the twenty, 11 are male and nine are female.  Their particulars will be availed in due course. A detailed traffic investigative report to be shared later.”
