List Of People Who Died In Tirinyi Accident Released by Police

Uganda Police Force has released the list of people who died this morning along Tirinyi road, Eastern Uganda.

The fatal accident occurred at Mailo tano along Mbale-tirinyi road and claimed lives of six people.

The accident involved motor vehicles Reg no- UAT 995A (Raum) and UBH 437K (Toyota Hiace) and UBJ 676W (Toyota hiace).

The Six people confirmed dead have been identified as; Mulabi David, Namarome Fatima, Nambafu kurusum, Kafero isaka, and a yet to be unidentified male adult.

Nandigobe saida sustained serious injuries while two other not identified survived the accident.

The cause of accident has been attributed to over speeding by the speeding taxi UBJ 676W.

Magganda Rajab, a resident of Nasenyi sub county said that the speeding taxi wanted to overtake a bus which was ahead of them and hit the boda boda rider who was carrying a mango vendor before it hit the Raum car.

The drivers of both Toyota hiaces are on the run, and efforts are underway to have them arrested.

“We want to caution all road users to be disciplined while on the road, most of the accidents are as a result of human errors that are avoidable once we drive carefully and responsibly,” said ASP Nampiima Faridah, PRO Traffic Police
