UNAIDS Executive Director, Winnie Byanyima, has come under fire from a section of Ugandans after she made a tweet congratulating Switzerland for voting to okay gay marriages.
Winnie who hails from Uganda, made a tweet in which she said, the vote was a win for human rights.
However, in reacting to the tweet, many bashed her with some calling her thoughts ‘total nonsense.’
“A win for human rights! Switzerland ?? votes overwhelmingly for same-sex marriage. Together we must #StandUp4HumanRights #MarriageForAll,” Winnie tweeted.
