UNAIDS Executive Director, Winnie Byanyima, has come under fire from a section of Ugandans after she made a tweet congratulating Switzerland for voting to okay gay marriages.
Winnie who hails from Uganda, made a tweet in which she said, the vote was a win for human rights.
However, in reacting to the tweet, many bashed her with some calling her thoughts ‘total nonsense.’
“A win for human rights! Switzerland 🇨🇭 votes overwhelmingly for same-sex marriage. Together we must #StandUp4HumanRights #MarriageForAll,” Winnie tweeted.
