Professor Ogwang Engeu Patrick has been stopped from having media interviews, according to his Personal Assistant.
This was revealed by NBS TV which was set to host him on Tuesday morning.
Prof. Ogwang of Mbarara University of Science and Technology is the founder of Covid-19 treatment drug Covidex.
On Sunday, he appeared on Capital FM and addressed the press on Monday.
Many have welcomed the move saying the Professor who has earned himself heroic status for his COVID19 therapy, should concentrate on the laboratory and making more research.
Last week, the National Drug Authority authorized COVIDEX, a locally made herbal remedy as ‘supportive treatment’ for COVID-19 after days of back and forth engagements between the regulator and Prof Ogwang.
