Health Ministry Distributes Mosquito Nets To Market Vendors

The Ministry of Health on Wednesday started distribution of Mosquito nets to the market vendors who are spending all the time of the lockdown in Markets.

President Yoweri Museveni while addressing the nation last week, issued new measures to contain COVID-19, directed the Ministry of Health to distribute Mosquito nets to market vendors to prevent them from Malaria during the 42 days of the lockdown.

The exercise was launched by the Ministry of Health PS Dr Diana Atwine. She also received 2000 Mosquito nets donated by Quality Chemicals Limited led by the Executive Director Mr Emmanuel Katongole.

The Ministry of Health, according to Dr Atwine will contribute 3000 nets to the exercise.

In total, the Ministry of Health and KCCA will distribute over 5000 Mosquito nets in all markets around the city.
