Police: Kayunga District Boss Committed Suicide

A police probe has concluded that Kayunga District Chairperson, Feffekka Sserubogo committed suicide.

The lifeless body of the newly elected leader was on Wednesday morning found hanging behind his house in Kayunga town.

Following the tragic incident, there were conflicting reports about what led to his death some saying he could have been killed and just left to hang on the rope.

“Postmortem done by three Senior Surgeons and one Independent Doctor provided by the family of the Late Ffefeka Sserubogo in the presence of the brother of the deceased and the LC V Vice chairman indicated that the late Sserubogo committed Suicide,” Charles Twiine, the COID spokesperson tweeted.

The deceased’s wife says he returned home feeling unwell and took his high blood pressure medicines before sleeping.

Feffekka Sserubogo was also a Bugerere country representative in the Buganda lukiiko
